man I loved yer review, can totally relate to most of it (‘cept the commuting part, but believe you me, I feel yer pain!).
My sis lives in Speonk but she also lives in da Nile if ya know what I mean. EVERYONE in / from Speonk considers themselves to be hamptonites & westhampton beach BARELY qualifies as the hamptons (just a notch above hampton bays)

I didn’t think Lu would play there again after the last time out. didn’t/don’t think she enjoys asses in seats, specially when they sit on their hands. Last time around some boorish snob type actually yelled out @ buick six to “c’mon, hurry up, where’s Lucinda?” typical clueless A hole didn’t realise they were Lu’s backing band.
The prices @ Westhampton are flat out re-godamn-dicolus! hard to believe I saw derek trucks there for 30 bucks. those days are WAY over. Along with the overpriced seats I actually believe certain artists (not LU, in particular) never look @ a map and really consider it to be “THE HAMPTONS” and appear to cash in with condensed shows. I caught her @ the Space in Westbury this time around. Much better atmosphere, imho.
