All I can say about the performance is that it makes me appreciate people like Lucinda Williams all the more. ***TEAM LUCINDA***

Oooh, pre-show huh? Laaaaame. I wanted to see the camera zoom in on all their faces as they got mentioned as nominees. I really don’t care about seeing taylor swift and beyonce over and over again! But yes, congrats to Levon Helm, and to Lucinda, for being a part of that. It must have been a fun time for all of them.

Yeah, I finally got to meet her. My dad and I had waited longer than anybody and were the only ones left. Eventually she came out and talked to us and it was so surreal. Just me, my dad, Lucinda and Tom talked for a pretty long time. The first thing she said was “Bless your hearts!”. I was so nervous that I didn’t even saying anything about how much I loved her songwriting–I only said I really liked her style of guitar playing on the blues songs. But she exceeded my expectations of her graciousness to fans. After all, she didn’t even have to stay and talk to us. It was really cool. 😀

I just listened to the interview and saw all the rude comments posted. People are nasty and cruel and it’s sad that Lucinda felt insecure. She is far better than they are, and should not worry about a thing. And Tom really stuck it to them!!! 🙂
