ParticipantThose songs are great!
Thanks for posting that link.Drunken Angel
ParticipantPatty’s album Downtown Church won’t be released until Jan 26 but it’s being streamed in full here on the NPR website. The semi-gospel record was produced by Buddy Miller and features artists such as Emmylou, Regina and Ann McCrary, Shawn Colvin, Jim Lauderdale, along with Buddy and Julie Miller.

I can say however that, as it has been with her more often than not, the songs come in bunches and it looks like she is in that place right now as she has finished 3 songs in the last two days. While they are new born babies so to speak -in the form of raw acoustic version- I can tell you that she is a proud mother and I am very excited as well with the early promise of these babies.
This.
Honestly, makes me happier than any touring news.
Thanks for the update.Drunken Angel

More coming soon -Lu has been working on a much more extensive list- I posted these first two without realizing that she was putting together a much bigger list.
That is just too cool for her to take the time to make the list and for you to post it.

ParticipantDid I miss who the guitar player is?
Drunken Angel
ParticipantI thought the guitar player looked like a younger Doug P. My eyesight is failing in my old age. ❗
And I knew American Music Shop from watching “New Music” way back when on TNN. They had some pretty good artists on there.
Drunken Angel
ParticipantAmerican Music Shop?
I recognize Pettibone, Jerry Douglas on dobro and Mark O’Connor (I think) on fiddle.
Don’t know about the drummer, bass and piano players.
Thanks for posting this, LWj!
Great quality video.Drunken Angel
ParticipantThanks, LWj!
Okay, I DID know that was there once. It’s just been months since I’ve visited. I have the forum only bookmarked and I always come here directly without checking out the front of the site.
Thanks again.
PS – I loved every minute of the mystery Blue myself.
Drunken Angel
ParticipantOkay, I am pretty dense here.
Where can I find the “records” page, LWj?
Drunken Angel
ParticipantHey, thanks for that confirmation, Itchy. And for the additional details on the In Touch editon.
I did not notice the buzz in the song but my hearing is not that great anyway.

ParticipantWay to go, Disco Stu!

Your detective work is beyond fantastic. Google pales in comparison.I found this quote below on the Flickr page where you found the caricature of Lucinda–another great find–and it literally gave me chills. A simple quote but so apropos.
I was driving alone in my car when I listened to the album “Essence” for the first time. The sun wasn’t up yet, and I was on a lonely stretch of highway, and the song “Blue” came on. It was so beautiful and heartbreaking. I couldn’t believe it.
