Looks like I will need more that just a T-shirt in Londonshire.. 🙄
dr winston oboogieParticipantIt is Hogmanay here, and I hope everyone had a good Christmas, and A Happy New Year to one and all when it arrives in your part of the world. Great to look forward to 3 Lucinda shows in the first month of the year, they have had a busy 2015 lets hope Lucinda and her merry band keep coming around for a long time to come..
And thanks to everyone who keeps us up to date with all that is happening in Lucinda land, really appreciate and enjoy the work you all put in.sláinte mhaith
dr winston oboogieParticipantThis was posted over on Greasy Lake (Springsteen Board), by one of our Aussie members :-
“Saw Lucinda Williams last night, fantastic show and the couple of songs she did off her new album due out in Feb sounded great.”
dr winston oboogieParticipantAnd a big thank you from me a well, always enjoy catching up with the articles you bring to us.
dr winston oboogieParticipantGreat news, on a momentous day all round for me.
Today I retired after more than 44 years with the same employer, I would have liked to work on for a further year, but various things seemed to dictate that it was not to be, and who knows maybe it will be a blessing in the end.Any way back to the news we are all interested in today, and something to look forward to in the new year, and hopefully Lucinda will play some of the new record when she comes to visit us in January.
Life is good.
dr winston oboogieParticipantBit more stressful than I thought, especially Glasgow, but anyway, DDinNJ, Glasgow is almost 200Miles and London over 500Miles, but I would walk 500 Miles.. 🙄
Hotels and Flights booked yesterday, got front row seat for Glasgow (eventually) and GA for both London nights, then back to Glasgow for Jason Isbell on the Sunday night, great week in store to start the New Year.
dr winston oboogieParticipantTomO, will there be a pre-sale for any of these dates please.
dr winston oboogieParticipantDid some research to confirm 1/20 and NOT 7/20…
Will there be a pre-sale available before Friday 02/10/2015
Would make things so much easier if there is.
dr winston oboogieParticipantThanks all so much, I am now on the case, Glasgow is a stick on, already got tickets for Jason Isbell at Celtic Connections, what a week Lucinda followed by Jason.
Of the others would prefer Dublin, but will probably go for London as there are two shows there.
Tom O I have done some searching, but no luck, can you confirm which venue in London please.
Just found some info, Brooklyn Bowl, right ? Not a venue I know…yet
dr winston oboogieParticipantGreat stories, thanks for keeping us informed….
and remember, Europe will be much more straightforward…
dr winston oboogieParticipantGreat story, thanks or tellng Tom O…well done to everyone concerned..
The Show Must Go On…
August 12, 2015 at 6:35 am in reply to: Lucinda goes to Australia–and maybe,(big maybe), Europe #54462dr winston oboogieParticipantThnaks for the info TomO, goes without saying that we hope you can make Europe happen.
Now I know to keep some leave back for January trips possibly.
“New Record”…good times all around…keep up the hard work you “wicked” people, Faith will be rewarded.
dr winston oboogieParticipantWhat a great set list, you lucky, lucky people.
dr winston oboogieParticipantHave been to Stone Pony, 15 years ago, this sounds great, and if had not already
booked to go away on holiday at that time, would seriously consider the trip for this.So much to do, so little time.
dr winston oboogieParticipantThank you ver much, appreciate you taking the time and effort to post this, just watched it once at work so far,
will watch further at home, excellent work by the whole band.So Lucinda/Tom – Come On Over To The UK – and let us see this live.
