DavidWParticipant
I did not make the Greensboro concert in 2007 but saw her in Charlottesville the next or maybe two nights later. She talked about “Roger the Vietnam Vet” before performing “Are You Alright?”.
DavidWParticipantI’ll be there – in the orchestra pit. I got a ticket today.
It is a nice venue. I saw Aimee Mann there last year.
DavidWParticipantStoger, you are real close to the stage on the 5th row. The last time I saw her at the Pavillion a lot of the people from the GA section ended up standing/dancing right in front of the stage. The aisles, including the middle, were also full of people dancing. Lu encouraged it. That was later in the show. I think it was over half way through the concert. So I am expecting it to get really crowded in front of me before the night is over.
I just saw David Byrne at the Pavillion with a 2nd row center seat. The stage is elevated, and when you are that close you can’t see their feet unless you are standing.
DavidWParticipantI got a front row center seat. This will be the closest I’ve ever been at a Lucinda concert. I’m sure my ears will be ringing. They did last time I saw her at the same venue. I was in the 6th or 7th row the last time.
Is anyone else that posts here going?

Wow–what a sad list. From my perspective, it really is a reflection of the sorry state of affairs of the recording industry. I wonder what actual sales numbers are associated with these ranks…
I believe that is a list of the best albums of the year according to Rolling Stone’s critics. It is not a list of the best selling albums of the year.
DavidWParticipantI would also be interested in a release of demos. I love to listen to Bob Dylan, Pete Townshend, and Beatles demos. I know I would enjoy listening to Lucinda doing stripped down early takes of her songs.
DavidWParticipantThanks, Rainydayman. I knew I read that somewhere.
DavidWParticipantI just remembered that “Bone of Contention” will also be on the 4 song EP with 3 covers. Is this the same version as the Amazon bonus? I thought I read that the version on the EP is live.
Where will the EP be available? Will it be on iTunes or Amazon? Anywhere else?
Thanks
DavidWParticipantThanks, Inside Job.
It looks like there will be 8 tracks available not on the CD including the UK single b-side. Here is a summary. If anyone sees anything inaccurate, please correct it.

The only demos I have from ‘West’ are ‘Unsuffer Me’ and ‘Everything Has Changed,’ although I believe there is one of ‘Rescue’ out there, or am I wrong?
Yes, a demo of “Rescue” is on one of the bonus discs.
DavidWParticipantI would much rather have them on a bonus disc instead of MP3’s. I know that demos will probably not have high quality audio, but I would still prefer something better than MP3 quality.
Here is the link:
DavidWParticipantWill one of the discs be offered through independents?
It would be nice to know ahead of time rather than finding out what stores have the bonus discs from flyers the Sunday before release date. Then I usually have to find out what tracks are offered from another source, sometimes just from driving to the store.
Please let us know. Thanks.
DavidWParticipantI would also like to know about any bonus tracks and where they are offered. Some people on another forum are also asking.
Please let us know.
And I agree they should all be on one disc. I’m willing to pay for it. A lot of people would buy the disc.
DavidWParticipantI should post my request for Roanoke, VA here. Seeing her in Charlottesville again would be nice too.
DavidWParticipantThat is funny. After noticing that some of the titles are the same as John Lennon songs, I was imagining how she would sound covering him. After “Dear Prudence”, I thought of “Don’t Let Me Down”.
