i guess it’s on VH1 tonight. my favorite Ventures song is Apache. congrats to them and how about getting Johnny Winter, Steve Miller and J Geils Band into that so called hall of fame. btw, who the hell put the hall in cleveland anyway? shouldn’t it be in memphis? i can’t think of anyplace i’d rather NOT be more than cleveland…
coffee4throadParticipanthey, yeah, the Blue Door, we saw Ramblin’ Jack Elliot there a few years back. awesome show!
coffee4throadParticipanti think it has the chords to the songs, too. that may be what she needs to see most? just a guess, but i’m sure it gets confusing going from song to song and she probably hates to be embarassed if she hits the wrong chord?
coffee4throadParticipantcoffee4throadParticipantcan’t wait to get me one, thanks for the skinny, I J !
coffee4throadParticipantsome vinyl huh? wow, you are a fan. someone told me they saw him in New Jersey in 2004 and he wasn’t getting around very well. they were a smokin’ band when i saw them back in the 70s. there’s an interesting article about them at their website (a link at the bottom of the page)
i have a couple of cd’s Live Deep in the Heart of Texas and a King Biscuit show disk, both very good.coffee4throadParticipantgreat, have fun!
coffee4throadParticipantgonna get them at the presale? i usually try to
good luck!coffee4throadParticipantexactly. have you heard the way they do Girl of the North Country lately? not even in the same universe. Bob Larry and Charlie all on acoustics was unreal. we caught a dallas show in Feb 02 just before the grammys which was stellar. that was our 3rd dylan show and would you believe they did Visions of Johanna on all 3? oh yeah
coffee4throadParticipantgood luck. i wish i woulda caught Van Morrison back on new years eve there…
i don’t care for Dylan’s band nowadayscoffee4throadParticipantcongrats on your wedding!
sounds great about your expc in KC.
maybe we can meet up at a show sometime?
last summer we saw Steve Winwood, Alice Cooper and Gordon Lightfoot, too.coffee4throadParticipantyes, and the one at the Brady in 2003, both rocked bigtime..
going to see Wilco next mo?coffee4throadParticipanthi Joe,
i recently got the 3 latest Chuck Prophet cds and have been impressed with all. just barely getting my feet wet w/ Red on Green. i saw there is a reunion dvd video available. seen it yet?
prophet’s coming to europe this spring btw…coffee4throadParticipanthi, yes at vintage stock on 41st st just east of yale. i also got lucky about a month ago and got Chuck Prophet’s No Other Love and Age of Miracles for 8 bucks apiece at the same store. there are 3 or 4 locations around town. you might call or see if they have a website to see what all they have. if i see another i’ll nab you one? probably slim chance, however…
