coffee4throadParticipant
welcome to the site, 2 Kool.
that’s a great question we’ve probably all had. personally, i got an image of Lucinda sitting around writing the song with her front door open, a junebug crawling around on the screen door with a hurricane on the way, storm visible on the horizon. i guess it struck her as kool at the time?
what’s your take?coffee4throadParticipantjust did a search with car wheels gurf morlix and this came up. nice article. now i gotta look at a couple REK cds…

coffee4throadParticipantshe did some gigs with John Fogerty a couple years ago which i was tempted to catch in santa barbara, but a little too pricey for my blood.
coffee4throadParticipantshe’s sweet, but can she get D O W N ? ! !
coffee4throadParticipantindeed, a great performance and a wonderful production. Lucinda appears very relaxed, unlike almost every other video i’ve seen of her. can’t this be released officially? i agree, why can’t ACL do things this nicely?

ยป Wonderful RemarkHow can you stand the silence
That pervades when we all cry?
How can you watch the violence
That erupts before your eyes?
How can you tell us something
Just to keep us hangin’ on?
Something that just don’t mean nothing
When we see it you are gone
Clinging to some other rainbow
While we’re standing, waiting in the cold
Telling us the same old story
Knowing time is growing old.
That was a Wonderful Remark
I had my eyes closed in the dark
I sighed a million sighs
I told a million lies – to myself – to myselfcoffee4throadParticipanthttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pum6MtyC3NA&eurl=http://enlavalla.wordpress.com/2007/02/22/
Then take me disappearin’ through the smoke rings of my mind,
Down the foggy ruins of time, far past the frozen leaves,
The haunted, frightened trees, out to the windy beach,
Far from the twisted reach of crazy sorrow.
Yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free,
Silhouetted by the sea, circled by the circus sands,
With all memory and fate driven deep beneath the waves,
Let me forget about today until tomorrow.coffee4throadParticipantsorry, i was mistaken. yes, that link to the resource site did that with me too. guess its history?

they rock! are they in the british HOF? if there is one, i wonder…oh yeah, and the Buckaroos at Carnegie hall is an awesome record, too.
