indeed Lefty. they were having a good time. I was lucky enough to catch Larry w/ Dylans band 5 or 6 times and became a fan then.
i found these pictures of the recent show in MN at Levon’s website.
Larry’s wife and Levon’s daughter were singing up a storm. Levon played the mandolin on a few songs, too.

anyway, it’s a big change for LW indeed, if Doug P is gone, but life goes on and god knows we have a buttload of great audio from the “Doug P era.” It was a hit when Gurf M left, and obviously she survived and grew, so lets see what happens before slamming the door…hate to be a wet blanket, but what did M Ward do that Neil Young didn’t do 40 years ago… except get Lucinda to sing with him ? (which is nice)
having said that, i like M., (what little of his i’ve heard) but this track is not anything earthshaking, imo.
kinda sounds like he’s been listening to that Hank Williams tribute cd from a few years back…
