just in time for the band to reappear, along with a biker’s moll standing at the microphone. Head-to-toe black (normally-blonde hair included), boots, chains, the works
ha ha ha I Love that look.
bobParticipantJust got my ticket in the mail…YAHOO ! can’t wait. Section O, but I really do not care, as long as I get in the door.
hopefully I’ll see y’all there.bobParticipantyeah- fees and parking I was referring to the Boston show…it was a last minute thing, got there late so just parked at nearest place. That is great about the ticket price, CAN’T WAIT!
bobParticipantis this for real?
I ordered one, I was planning on climbing the Hi Point in Illinois that weekend anyway…
Two years ago I saw her in Boston, same deal, $10 ticket but it was the day of show or something, and they were dumping all seats left.-fees were almost as much,
-parking $20
-seeing opener ‘The Night’s Too Long’ – PRICELESSthanks for the info STOGER
bobParticipantshe’d still win today!
bobParticipantIt would be awesome to see an official release of some of this stuff IMO.
yes at most of the ‘Jam Band’ concerts and festivals, they always sell CD’s of the show; either within a few minutes at the show or via email. I’d kill (just kidding) to have copies of the LuWi shows I’ve been at.

bobParticipantI may be wrong, but I am almost certain that she has never recorded “Angel”…
hmmm… that would be great one to include if a CD of cover songs was ever released.
That was a highlight of the Concord shew!bobParticipantPLEASE EXPAND THE TOUR TO THE NORTHEAST- IT’S BEEN TOO LONG ALREADY!
bobParticipantfor the record: me, personally — i’m all about “trendy sexy librarian black-frame eyeglasses,” eclectic crowds, and i do believe reading is fun-damental! (Lu could put her hair up in a bun, too, and even tell me “shhhh…”)
ha ha ha good one…
blureu- those are some really great photos!bobParticipant@stoger wrote:
Glad to see that heart rate stablilized long enough for a coherent setlist and good report, Tim. We appreciate your narratives.
ha ha ha good one!
I missed Burlington and Rochester shows GRRRR…. wo*k and other committments always get in the way.
Can’t wait until the next tour, I’ll plan this one better!those photosbynanci are really great, thanks for posting!
Now if I could just find a video of the whole show…bobParticipantAnd now for the fashion report-
Ms. Williams was dressed rather conservatively, black shirt, black leather jacket and jeans but an incredibly sultry look. With the dark hair almost a goth look, I really liked it.
I can honestly say that was one of the best shows I’ve seen. A REALLY*REALLY* GOOD SHOW. And I see quite a bit of live music.
Like Tim said above I can’t put my finger on it, what made it so good; possibly because the acoustics were so good and the crowd was so patient, I dunno, it just worked. I only wish I had a video of the whole show.
It seemed everyone was in a good mood, LW smiling, even dancing more!
And the band is really gelling, a huge difference from Tuesday. I’m not sure if it was a change in Eric’s S. guitars, or style of playing, but they are dialing it in.
I brought someone for their first show, I was hoping she’d like it; I wasn’t sure if she’d like the slower stuff, she was really impressed and wants to go tonight to VT. She commented how much better it was seeing her live than the TV appearances of CD’s.
Personal Highlights were Crescent City, Side of the Road, Angel (very moving), and I Live my Life.
Another thing I really like about these show, they always mix up the setlists it up quite a bit. There were 9 songs I’ve never seen live before. As I said before, I try to support live music whenever I can; LW is by far one of the best live acts going.
And the ushers and workers at the theatre were really nice…
PLEASE DON’T EVER STOP TOURING THE NORTHEAST!bobParticipantthe encore was great, love them delta Blues…as far as Doug goes, I thought it was kind of rude to yell out for him. They were playing their butts off, it seems like most people in the audience knew the story about Doug. The band is new together, attribute it to growing pains. And I’m glad they didn’t try to copy his style of playing, the jam during Joy was all new, and good.
But on to the important stuff- she looked great, wearing a short leather jacket and jeans, gauzy see through shirt (covered by short leather jacket and vest later) sometimes showing a little midriff-
Very effective!
Only possible improvement would’ve been the cowboy hat!!and thanks for the discount merch, it is a very nice gesture.
Can’t wait for Concord!
bobParticipantvery cool-
I’ll be looking for you up North.bobParticipantTHIS POST IS SILLY!
Who cares if Ray L. has sold out more shows? All I know is I can see her 3 times in one week, and will not be attending any Ray L. shows, couldn’t care less! What is the point of this post?
Although the Grateful Dead is a brilliant star from a distance and hideous up close, I choose to balance the distance with being up close and personal, too.
WTF does that mean??
ps- The Dead are charging $100 for tix, for only part of the band. I’ve seen the Grateful Dead 100 times, but will not be attending any of those shows either. -
