Wait -there’s more -Lu will also be doing guest appearances on two other artists records -one of which I think is going to make a certain someone in this forum very happy.

What- she’s doing a guest appearance for David Byrne?

last year at the Brownfield, Maine show they were pretty high- but it was a small venue and the rest of tour was reasonably priced.

This is for the upcoming Eagles

Ya know the Eagles to me are the ORIGINAL price gougers. I went to many of their concerts, but their prices got waaay out of hand. They are the first to do this, I only wish I knew dates/prices. And that ‘gold circle’ seating really frosts my butt- another way for someone to show how better off they are than everyone else.

AND ANOTHER THING- the tripling of fees wouldn’t bother me if if it wasn’t all computerized- there is no justification to charge for a simple electronic transfer.

those ticket prices are way out of line. I have seen JCM many times, a great performer but that is price gouging plain and simple.
So I am boycotting this tour (ha ha)

yeah but with ROBERT EARL KEEN!

he rarely plays here in the Northeast, and every time he does there is a schedule conflict …he’s one of my favorite artists that I’ve never seen.

this part of the article jumped out at me; especially in these tough economic times

The Texas Union Board is shutting down operations at the Cactus Cafe and phasing out informal classes as part of a request by UT President William Powers Jr. that all UT departments cut their budgets to accommodate a 2-percent merit raise for faculty

I do still want to start a fan club or some function that allows for pre-sale tickets to get into the hands of the core fans first.

The Grateful Dead had some sort of system for ordering tickets through their own organization. ‘GDToo’?
I think it was mail order, you sent in a request via snail mail, and hope you got lucky. They would just tear up the checks or something (I can’t remember why I can’t remember)
It started when they wanted to play the smaller venues, but were too popular , and wanted their fans to get first crack at limited tickets. Somewhere around 1976? when they were sick of hauling around the ‘Wall of Sound”

not sure how much of a PITA it is though…
