Agree with everything you said about the show. That was a home game for me too, it was nice to only have a 20 minute drive home afterwards. We were planning to eat at Ladyface Alehouse but at the last minute decided to try the dinner at Canyon Club. Won’t make that mistake again but one benefit was that we were at a table with some good people and we made friends for the night.
BillGParticipantHad a great time at the Canyon Club but I wish I had read your comments on the food before eating there. Great performance and I really liked the way she came back to Those Three Days later in the show after a couple of awkward starts. It ended up being one of the highlights for me. Really liked the opening band (The Kenneth Brian Band) a lot too.
BillGParticipantJust bought tickets for the Canyon Club!
BillGParticipantI thought the guitar player was very good, I think Lu said he was from the Wallflowers. He seemed to have a good feel for the music, especially during the Blessed/Get Right With God Segment.
The call outs for Friend of the Devil were peculiar.
The sound was incredibly loud. When the first band started the bass and drum beats felt like they were disrupting my heart rhythm. Stills and Kenny Wayne Shepherd’s solos were like machine gun bullets to the head (but mostly in a good way).
Beautiful theatre and they sold Lagunitas IPA (albeit for $8 a bottle). -
