Wow: what quantity, quality of songs. Brisbane is on the Southern coast, no? It’s a guess, somehow connected with “Atonement” and “Unsuffer Me” popping up in the encore, somewhat unusual. Those seem very “Southern” [American Southern that is] songs. Thanks for posting.
Nearly the opposite Stoger. Brisbane is the start of Australia’s north, on the east coast and yet some may suggest it’s like the south in the USA. I saw the Brisbane show and Lucinda did remark early in the set how good the venue sounded, it’s not huge at 1800 seats and is a concert hall in a performance arts complex with world class acoustics so maybe that inspired her choice of songs? Of course, she was made very welcome by the Brisbane audience too. I was stoked to hear Atonement (and her intro), one of my favourites. I saw Lucinda’s mate Elvis Costello there in ’99 and he wrapped up his show with “Couldn’t Call It Unexpected No. 4” totally un-miked, it was crystal clear and awesome, it’s that kind of venue.
