I think you guys missed the point really. Elvis has been around for 30 years, and I’ve never bought his records, although liking early classics like ‘Oliver’s Army’, and ‘Watching the Detectives’. I’ve just never really dug his voice. Is that negativity? I think it’s just personal taste/preference.’8)’
4 of these sound phenomenal. Have to agree ’bout Elvis though, soon as that voice comes in I’m off to the next track!

I’ve got to recommend a recent discovery, ‘Over the Rhine’. Their album ‘Ohio’ has been top of the heap for days. Karin Bergquist leads a fine band. A fascinating vocalist – the accent and phrasing quite intriguing.
As a new postee I have to pay my dues to Shawn Colvin. I only discovered her about a year ago and members on her site have referred to LW so much that I was bound to investigate. So over the past 2 weeks I’ve been soaking up LW’s remarkable music.
