All I AskParticipant
It would appear we have ANOTHER know nothing critic in Modolus. Its one thing to dislike a performer, song, show, etc. It another thing to attack someone’s personal appearance or how many guitars they choose to use. Songs are not like children they are only songs. Some peoples memories are imperfect so some singers use lyric books, teleprompters or notes taped to the floor to help remember. Gil Cruz does not speak the truth. He speaks uninformed, know it all verbal toiletries.
All I AskParticipantI see that you are up to your usaul tricks ripley. Still a negative, judgemental asshole spewing your worhtless character assassinations upon all. You call mvpatrick a dick. You call Lu an embarassment and question her motives for creating music by calling it pandering. You know nothing about anything and I hope that soon you’ll be pushing up daisies. Fuck you.
All I AskParticipantI looked up “Tu le ton son temps” on a free web translator and it came out “You it your his time”. So I went to AZchords.com and looked up Cresent City and it gives that line as “Tous les temps sont temps” which translates as “All times are time”. I’m sure that it is not the spirit of the actual french phrase. It could mean something like “no time like the present” but that is a guess. Hopefully one of our esteemed co-members will know the proper translation.
By the way I just wondered if you knew that “laissez les bons temps rouler” means “let the good times roll” ?
Cresent Ciy is one of my very favorite Lucinda tunes. I do not know of any collaborations of the type you’re asking for but like you I look forward to the replies of other forum members.
All I AskParticipantIB see the post titled ‘some lucinda williams photos’ by photographix on 4/22 in this forum sub-header for pix.
All I AskParticipant‘Righteously’ is on the “Lucinda Williams Live @ The Fillmore” CD.
All I AskParticipantNice post, Possum. Ain’t she grand ?! Nice nickname, too.
All I AskParticipantSweet ! My copy has extra tracks. Some live stuff including ‘Sundays’. Does yours have the same ?
All I AskParticipantThank you, admin, for clearing up this situation. I figured somebody was paid to monitor the site but evidently that is not the case. I see now you’re doing the best you can under less than desirable circumstances. Keep up the good work.
All I AskParticipantI was at the Ann Arbor show and 65 Galaxie and jackieo are correct. ‘Righteously’ was the song ddescribed as ‘hippabilly’. Nice show, eh ?
All I AskParticipantlucfan4ever you should post this under the more heavily used topics. I don’t think many people look at this topic. Its a nice idea, though. I’d like to hear her sing live with Jim Lauderdale.
All I AskParticipantSorry I couldn’t help ya. I sure can’t remember the setlist. Ya don’t suppose it could be ‘Passionate Kisses’ ?
All I AskParticipantYeah ! WTF ?!? There’s more huckster crap than Lucinda posts !!! Some one get back to work !
All I AskParticipantIs that $40 canadian ? HA ! Just kidding. I got mine from BMG for prolly $10 (US). I’m sure i’ve seen that CD in US stores for under $20. Have you tried your local stores that sell CD’s ? Amazon dot com ? I’m thinkin’ it should be available somwhere…
All I AskParticipantLIttle Star I was at that show in Cleveland that night ! Me and a couple friends drove over from detroit and crashed in a nice hotel right across the street from the HOB there in cleveland. I’d gotten booted out out of the michigan theater in ann arbor for smokin’ pot so I got a couple pals to go there with me to see the whole show. We got pretty shit-faced but it was a great show and I didn’t get kicked out !!! I’m almost positive Tim is correct in his posting about ‘jailhouse tears’ and ‘the knowing’. Try this link then click on “luciunda williams in concert’ link and a player should pop up to listen to an NPR concert fom 2005 that includes both songs. Sweet, eh ?

All I AskParticipantHahahahaha ! Issues ! You are so stupid you can’t even reply to what I’m saying. You go off ona tangent about ‘West’. This indicates that you can’t process what you read and therfore have no hope of ever getting over your mental retardation.
