Ms. Muth & company have a new EP entitled Old Gold containing five covers & one original song, out July 24th. Here is a mini-review and here is a link to purchase the digital download at Amazon.com…

July 31, 2012 at 7:57 pm #48326LeftyParticipantTHANK YOU, TNT! 😀
August 1, 2012 at 5:15 pm #48327stogerParticipantThanks, moderator. I picked it up pre-official release at a show last month, mighty fine stuff. And I believe we are circa 72 hours away from the ceremony uniting Zoe and her drummer Greg–the lucky SOB–in matrimony.
September 21, 2012 at 5:25 pm #48328LeftyParticipantIt’s my sad duty to report that Zoe was a mere 126 miles away, performing in Rochester last night at the Abilene Bar & Lounge, and I was unaware 🙁
She’s in Buffalo tonight, LWj, at the Sportsmen’s Tavern 💡
Say “hi” to her for me!September 21, 2012 at 5:51 pm #48329tntracyParticipant@Lefty wrote:

Don’t you just hate when stuff like that happens, Lefty? I bemoaned the fact for months & months that Ray Wylie Hubbard never seemed to play gigs very far from his home state of Texas, then, just a couple of weeks ago, I discovered I had missed him playing last month at one of my favorite small, local venues, the tiny “Atlanta Room” at Smith’s Olde Bar… 😥

September 22, 2012 at 4:15 pm #48330stogerParticipantThat’s a blow, Lefty. I missed her in Nashville the other week, a mere 124 miles from my home–though I was far away that particular day. Trying for a North Carolina gig in October. You best subscribe to her email list. . . .

Say “hi” to her for me!Lefty, IF ONLY you had posted this early Friday when I checked the Forum before I went to work, I most certainly would have phoned the Sportman’s Tavern (been there before-cool venue that serves Buffalo wings) for ticket availability.
After work I got invited for dinner at my neighbour’s and didn’t re-check the Forum.
Ah, yes I remember the Abilene in Rochester-went there before and after Lucinda’s show across the street at the East Harrow Ballroom back in March ’09. That’s where Susannah told me you were wearing a pink and blue shirt. 😆Anyway, I looked at the Sportsman’s concert listings and I can go see Gurf Morlix for $10. this coming Tuesday.
On this rainy Saturday afternoon I’m going to console myself by watching a full 1 & 3/4 hr. concert from Leiden, Holland Feb./12 with Zoe.
By the way, I found out Zoe opened last night for the Western NY band “Big Leg Emma.” Sure looks like I missed a great show so close to home.
Videos to enjoy.
Zoe in Holland.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9z-kulBuYE&feature=relmfuLefty, I know it’s off topic but consider coming to Toronto on October 24th to see Erika and the HB’s at Lee’s Palace. I’m going.

You, sir, are a tempter! It’s doubtful, but I’ll contemplate… 😕

Heading into the studio next week to cut a couple demos, looks like the start of a new record!

September 17, 2013 at 5:23 pm #48334stogerParticipantOff-Broadway in St. Louis, tonight, Zoe’s lone “MidSouth” appearance before heading next month back to Austin, where she seems to be “in residency,” as it were. Any Forum takers?

June 10, 2014 at 8:48 pm #48339LeftyParticipantZoe Muth has left Seattle, but not great music
Posted by Owen R. Smith (The Seattle Times)Zoe Muth, ‘World of Strangers’ (Signature Sounds)
Five years ago, Seattle native Zoe Muth was a local preschool teacher playing bars and open-mic nights trying to pay to get her debut album produced.
Muth’s gift for songwriting and her captivating, smoky voice eventually earned her the nickname “Seattle’s Emmylou Harris,” but her latest album, “World of Strangers,” out Tuesday, finds Muth having just relocated to Austin, Texas.
You might think moving to Texas would allow more traditional country sounds to creep into Muth’s music, but “World of Strangers” delights by adopting a distinct singer-songwriter vibe. Songs like the delicate folk-rock of “Annabelle” and resigned regret of “April Fool” (an excellent Ronnie Lane cover) give new life to familiar sad-sack tales, thanks to Muth’s distinct voice and the conviction of her delivery.
However, it’s “Mama Needs a Margarita” — the most “country” song on the album — that leaves the lasting impression. It’s not sadness but loneliness in her voice as she sings, “Mama needs a margarita/A slow song and two strong arms to lead her.”
Fans looking for more honky-tonk might be disappointed, but they would be foolish to miss out on Muth’s most mature and interesting album yet
