1 Can’t Let Go [with tour manager Eric waving out from back of stage all the way through it, trying to get the flashing lights above Butch turned off]
2 Pineola [after which Lu mouths that it’s “loud” on stage]
3 Concrete & Barbed Wire [after which Lu mouths that she “can’t hear” on stage]
4 Bitter Memory [after which Lu says into the mike “the sound is horrible up here. . . it needs to be big. . . this is a rock concert”]
5 Born to Be Loved
6 Are You Down [during which Lu retreats to the wings and is whispered some encouragement by Eric]
7 Out of Touch
8 Essence
9 Righteously
10 [Ain’t My] Cross to Bear
11 Changed the Locks
12 Joy
13 Honeybee

14 I Ain’t Got No Home in this World [solo, with talk of Woody Guthrie’s 100th birthday having been day before, and Lu having seen Ramblin’ Jack Elliot recently]
15 For What It’s Worth
16 Get Right with GodWell, for the second straight festival, Lu was the penultimate but not headlining act of the evening’s main stage. By the end, she was praising the fest and the area, saying she was “humbled” by the beauty of it all.
The boys were in especially fine wardrobe fettle, Doug with a kind of nudie-suit shirt, David with a Cain’s Ballroom Tulsa t, and Butch decked out in a Lu caricature T.
Also for the second straight festival, my on-site culinary needs were met by others without my even requesting. Sound man James had a leftover food voucher good for any vendor on the grounds; thank you sir. He mentioned ascending the chairlift with Doug earlier in the day, to what end I didn’t catch.
Finally: anyone who doubts Doug is glad to be back should just watch him during [all three] choruses of “Essence.” The man is in his rightful groove.
Good to see Tom B and Christina, from the Bay Area.

After getting a little bit (again) by the Lu road trip bug this week, I was really wanting to
keep it going after Vancouver.. Your recaps are the next best thing..Happy travels.. it looks like Lu headliner shows from here on out.. excluding London.. ( i think)
