Don’t have the setlist but like Wednesday had a mellow energy and rocked late, but there was a deeper groove going on tonight. The two Amos Lee songs were over the top. Both shows were great. Tonight was better.

You two are a tag-team, D and D. My god “Can’t Close the Door” was played! The line “it ain’t no thingit’s just a little teardrop” haunts my days, my nights, my in-betweens. Please in New Haven!!?!!?!?

We are on the same page with “Can’t Close the Door” stoger..

Perhaps Sunday night would work nicely for a setlist re-appearance as I can’t make New Haven..

That’s as near a perfect set list for me. 2 Kool added to that mix…perfection!

I would like to thank edtyre1 for all the high quality videos he uploaded from both nights. It certainly helps with missing that first night. 🙁

    From T.O.:

Night two saw three more new song debuts, (highlighted in blue) and everyone was happy with how they sounded on the first live play. We loved having Amos back again and it was a real spontaneous addition that he also sang on Sam Cooke’s Change Is Gonna Come. Were back stage talking during Joy and I said to Amos “Hey do you know Change is Gonna Come?” and he said “the Sam Cooke version or the Otis Redding version?” to which I said “ok, you gotta do it”. And he just went out and killed it. That song was made for the two of them. Lu could hardly contain herself watching him sing his verses.
Thank you Philly for kicking off the tour in the best possible way.

Yessss, on the Amos doing A Change Is Gonna Come, as I mentioned in another thread, he has performed it many times, including an Obama rally in 2008, I think at the 4th of July event he performed at the White House in 2011 (but I could be wrong on that), etc etc.

Here is that Obama rally. Video quality isn’t the best, but you certainly catch the spirit of the song.
