I have seen Lu before but never like this, after the first song Rescue, I was blown away it was worth the trip from Philadelphia just to have heard that. Her voice was strong, confident and as good or better than I have heard it. Doug Pettibon was on FIRE, he was literally perfect; not a single wasted or superfluous note. He did add a nice little twist with incorporating a riff from Led Zepplins Heartbreaker
into a solo in Joy. Lastly the venue at Wolf Trap was amazing, great crowd, friendly but more importantly civil when it counted – getting out of the paking lot.
