It’s an old blues (not sure who wrote it) that Lu used to perform live more often, but still does occasionally. I have it on a couple of live bootlegs – one, from the September, 1993 Strawberry Festival and the other from De Effenaar, Eindhoven, Netherlands, May, 1989. In fact, this latter show is the one that is going to be on one of the CDs in the deluxe reissue of the self-titled album.
Thanks for posting this, Lafayette…

Yeah Disco Stu, “Sharp Cutting Wings” caught my eye, too. That’s one Lu doesn’t play very often!

October 5, 2009 at 1:21 pm #40804bike50nowParticipantHello Everyone:
First, I would like to thank Tom and Lucinda’s staff for granting me a “press pass” to take photos from my seat at the Wilmington show last week, September 30, 2009. This small gesture of sensitivity to Lucinda’s fans is one of the many things that make Lucinda a truly special and gifted musical artist.
The Wilmington show was wonderful. The Grand Opera House is a spectacular venue and was an intimate, 1100-seat setting to enjoy the concert. Buick 6 opened with a sharp and enthusiastic set. Then, Lucinda delivered a chronological and tight performance playing two or three songs for each of her nine studio releases. All in all, another wonderful night and show celebrating Lucinda’s 30 years as a recording artist. If Lu & Tom want some great live shots for liner notes, etc., they need look no further!
