It seems like something that should have been reissued on vinyl by now. Especially around the time of the deluxe CD. What gives?

Yes I think so -just not sure when- I actually wanted to try and get both Car Wheels and Essence issued on vinyl last year as part of the 30th Anniversary rollout, but it just didn’t work out. I have a call tomorrow with Universal to talk about this and other topics regarding Lucinda’s catalog.

That’s the kind of cool “insider” info we love to see / hear, TO – thanks! 🙂

Awesome. I know 180 gram is the way they do things now but I would prefer standard. I never even listen to my World Without Tears vinyl because I get sick of flipping it over every 3 songs. I’d prefer a single record.

Any news on these two titles on vinyl? Esp. Essence.
    Thanks.

I count my vinyl LW albums amongst all time favs, have been playing out my vinyl copy of Blessed all weekend… have Ramblin’, Fillmore, World Without Tears, Little Honey with a copy of Happy Woman Blues on the way… I noticed on the board that TO is hoping to get Essence and CWOAGR reissued, any chance to get West also reissued ? You may have noted that original copies (when found) go for astronomical prices which puts them out of reach of blue-collar fans like me…
Just can’t beat the sound of vinyl and the artwork is always better too.
Do appreciate the digital and/or cds included in the vinyl packages for use in the car and ipod…

As part of Lost Highway’s 10th anniversary, here is a list of Vinyl to be released in 2011.

    Essence scheduled for June 14th.
