Someone is in the studio celebrating the 25th Anniversary of one of her records by re-recording it top to bottom. Hmmm who could that be?

Well I’m going to take a wild guess and say it’s Lu. But I am crazy. 😆

I think with a little research you’ll get the answer -making you work for it.

After said research (2017-25=1992) I’m going to go with Sweet Old World! *awaits applause* 8)

Perhaps the title of the thread is confusing people…
    Should Cold be spelled Could?

Yes Paul -you’re correct -I didn’t catch that -now I suspect Tony of just letting it go to make me look bad ha ha -tough crowd indeed. It’s about to be fixed.

Ok Tony how do you fix the topic title?

I can’t explain it, so I fixed it. It was rather lonely in here. 🙁

Wow… not a re-release, but a re-record! So many favorites on this one. I can’t wait to see if/how she reworks any of them. Memphis Pearl, He Never Got Enough Love, etc. on this album = storytelling at it’s finest. And Lu’s voice is in such a different, richer place now that this will be a real treat. Whoever came up with this idea, major thanks.

We have six songs recorded so far and Lu is very excited about how things are coming out. One song in particular has been completely reworked and the others getting a real updating-so I think there will be some surprises. Everyone is in agreement that these versions are blowing away the originals. The cool thing is that Greg Leisz was able to make room in his schedule as he was very involved in the crazy evolution of the original record. Heading back to the studio shortly and we hope to have every thing recorded by Weds.

2 more songs cut last night -what I consider two of Lu’s lost gems, Memphis Pearl and Sidewalks Of The City. Hoping to get a couple more tonight.
