It has a in dash 6 CD player.

Currently, I have the following loaded:

    1 & 2. Live at the Fillmore Nov/03-Lucinda
    3. All this time 2006-Heartless Bastards
    4. Failer 2002-Kathleen Edwards
    5. Buick 6 2008 ( an autographed CD from Toronto , Oct./09 )
    6. Self-titled live Sept.10/07 at the El Rey-Lucinda

I rotate the selection maybe once a month.
    So “What’s in your wallet”

OK. Since there is a commercial on right now with NFL here is my final tally of songs.
69 Music stations on Sirius Satellite in my car.
    3 minutes per song
    60 minutes per hour
    total minutes/per day 1440
    less 10% for announcements 144
    Net minutes available 1296

Available minutes times 69 stations 89424
    89424 minutes with3 minutes per song 29808
CD Changer in car 6 discs with 12 songs 72
    Total songs available lwjetta 29880
    TnTracy’s Ipod 11000
Shortfall in songs with IPod -18880

In either scenario more than enough tunes for a Lu concert road trip.
    Now,back to the game.

    Very impressive, indeed.

But, in addition to random “shuffle play”, can you also play individual songs & albums on demand?

I know this is not a competition, LWJ, & my original intent was not to make it so, only to respond to your question with something other than “I don’t listen to CDs in a CD changer in my car”.

In addition, this post is just a playful response to your “tally”… 😉

Not only this is the best”Friendly Forum”, it also can be a lot of fun.
To expand on your question, sadly my CD changer will shuffle the tunes but only for the one CD playing at the time.
But my Sirius radio has a really neat feature.
it can store up to 30 song titles or 30 artists or 30 sports teams.
This means when I am driving along I will get a beep and it will tell me to switch channels to hear the song or game.
    Isn’t technology great Tnt?

I play my Ipod over my car stereo. Lately I have been blasting the Beatles box set.

    Great, indeed. LWJ.

That’s a pretty cool feature you describe on your Sirius satellite radio. A long way from the old factory-installed AM car radios with the mechanical presets, eh? Some here may not be old enough to remember them, but they had 6 large push buttons that you pulled out and then pressed back in to make a particular station a preset. When a button was pressed, the tuning dial physically moved to the preset frequency… 😆

My car is an MGF roadster so I can’t even fit a CD changer! 😉

However, it has a little box where I stash my CDs. Currently:

    1) Tegan and Sara – So Jealous (getting the new CD led me to revisit this old fave)
    2) Amy Winehouse – Frank
    3) Feist – The Reminder (mainly for 1234. If you have kids, or are as immature as me.. check out the youtube video of Feist doing this song on Sesame Street)
    4) Lily Allen – It’s not you it’s me
    5) Mazzy Star – She Hangs Brightly
    6) Lu – self titled.

Nice roadster ali-kinda like the Boxter with its mid engine, however MG’s are not available in North America ( probably due to BMW).
    Liked your music selection.
Must admit I hadn’t heard of Mazzy Star so I You tubed them. Their song “Fade Into You” sounds great.
