In agreement with earlier suggestions of “Blind Willie McTell” and “Meet Me in the Morning.”
Two more, humbly submitted: “”Born in Time” and “I Shall Be Released”

Lu has already released covers of “Positively 4th Street” twice; most recently, on the 2009 compilation, The Village – A Celebration of the Music of Greenwich Village… 😉

Also put up this same Dylan question on Facebook this afternoon and between the main wall page and the evvents page we have gotten over 500 responses and still counting. Pretty unbelievable response. Maybe she’ll have to do a songs of Bob Dylan album now.

That’d work! (Realizing, of course, that you meant an “album” of Bob Dylan “songs”… 😉 )

or With God on our Side
or When the Ship comes in..August 30, 2011 at 10:19 pm #48147TOverbyParticipantWe just confirmed that we will be recording this a week from today in Bob Clearmountain’s studio and he’s getting back into town in time to be the engineer on the track. Bob is one of the true world class engineers— who of course did such a great job mixing Blessed. Lu is very excited. Now if we just could just decide on a track -we’re going to be listening to a lot of Bob over the next couple of days.
And I haven’t even mentioned the McCartney project yet. Busy busy.August 30, 2011 at 10:30 pm #48148tntracyParticipant@TOverby wrote:

August 30, 2011 at 10:36 pm #48150parkercaParticipantHas anyone suggested “Crash on the Levee/Down in the Flood” yet?
August 30, 2011 at 10:45 pm #48151TOverbyParticipantSpeaking of the Basement Tapes, I just dugout my vinyl of the “complete” Basement Tapes –gonna find a Bob song that’s never been released before-that’d be interesting.
August 30, 2011 at 10:48 pm #48152parkercaParticipantThat would be very cool. I wish Sony would release the complete Basement Tapes in the bootleg series.
August 31, 2011 at 12:04 am #48153TOverbyParticipantYes-me too -the complete set is 5 cd’s and 102 songs (with some repeated versions of several songs). I was fortunate to find a set a few years ago in NYC, and I just now pulled them out again.
I was really into collecting Dylan bootlegs for a period of time -mostly studio stuff-and I can say that there is still a ton of unreleased studio Bob. I have at least three of four amazingly packaged 4cd sets of high quality studio stuff that, from what I recall, is still mostly unreleased. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find them for some time, which is really a drag but i’m still hoping they’ll turn up. There’s also an 11 LP set called Ten Of Swords, comprising of recordings from 62-66. Some of this has been also -the Royal Albert Hall show was included in this as were the Minnesota Hotel Tapes which were Bob’s first recordings in 1962.
TOS was famous for being so well packaged etc that it looked like a legit release and Columbia records brought the FBI and really got zealous about getting it off the streets. It disappeared very quickly.August 31, 2011 at 12:11 am #48154parkercaParticipantI have heard of “Ten of Swords”. I have some of the bootleg Basement Tapes. I think what I have is called “A Tree With Roots”.
It is amazing how much Dylan has in the vaults. Sony could release a new edition of the Bootleg Series every 6 months if they wanted to.
