ParticipantAround $40 from the U.K. Music on Vinyl has just released Dylan’s Time Out of Mind on 2lp and the sound is phenomenal, better than the cd. They also did a nice Love and Theft. Lookin forward to Car Wheels! Hope they get to Essence.

ParticipantShouldn’t the Artist be asking the Manager why three of the Artist’s albums have not been released on vinyl?

ParticipantAs a vinyl enthusiast – I, too, am curious about this release and will only purchase if it was authorized by Lucinda. I’ve purchased vinyl from MOV before, and, they do a great job on material that was intended for a single album release. As Car Wheels tends to run longer than the normal lp medium it was my hope that this album would be released as a double lp issue. Otherwise, the sound tends to sound compressed. A case in point – I purchased Deep Purple’s “Battle Rages On” which on initial release was only available on CD (It was issued in the EU on Vinyl and sounds compressed). This album, too, because of the CD medium ran longer than what vinyl issues tend to run, and, unfortunately, the MOV issue issued it solely as a single lp and thus the compressed sound. Yucky!!! So, buyer beware!

ParticipantI received the CWOAGR on MOV vinyl from Diverse Vinyl in the U.K. and it’s a beautiful pressing. The sound is not compressed at all, with a warm sound, instruments balanced nicely with no loss of intimacy. The pressing is quiet with no skips or ticks. A lyric sheet is included within. After Dylan’s excellent Time Out of Mind, MOV is on a nice roll with these releases.
