Amos Lee was great! Had a nice long set.
Lucinda was cut short by time. Set list:
Can’t Let Go
I Lost it
Fruits of My Labor
Blue
Little Angel, Little Brother (very gracious in bringing out Amos Lee to sign with)
Born to be loved
Ugly truth
Buttercup
Essence
Unsuffer Me (Wow!)
Changed the Locks
(gotta go) Honey Bee
(encore) BlessedAbout half the # of songs of the shows I saw earlier this year in DC and Austin. It was hot last night. I mean Washington HOT HOT!

Lafayette, you called “Little Angel, Little Brother,” but either one gig early or one too late, forgot which. Was “Blessed” solo for the duration, as lwj implies (haven’t looked on YouTube)? At any rate, the tour marches on. . . .

lwjJuly 20, 2011 at 9:12 pm #47658punchdrunkloveParticipantthe band is awesome, that goes w/out saying, but BLESSED solo is the way to go. this is such an all-lucinda song that it better be a just-lucinda song as well.
as far as i’m concerned little angel is the best of the 3 songs she wrote for her brother (are you alright and i don’t know how you’re livin’ being almost just as superb, of course). what do you guys think?
both videos are terrific, but if the world were perfect we’d have an optional audio track of lucinda voice when amos lee starts singing. it’s not personal, mr. lee. nobody else can touch this song!
July 21, 2011 at 3:26 am #47659LafayetteParticipantOh…what I wouldn’t have given to see that live! On vacation and I’m hovering in the lobby of our hotel while my guys are sleeping HA! I’m going to see if I can watch it on YouTube! For anyone that didn’t catch the interview I posted….one done for Lucinda’s Austin gig at Grubbs…Amos was quoted as claiming Little Angel was a song he listened to a thousand times….one that colored all the edges for him.
So cool, so cool, so cool.

Glad you enjoyed them! Apparently I caught a fairly unique song on video, so lucky me. I stumbled on this page looking for the setlist and was quite surprised to see a mention of my videos! 8^) Great show but it was disgusting outside!
