Hey,
I just got my Lucinda tickets for Tucson Az. I was wondering anyone knows if the the Buick 6 plays a opening set before the Lucinda set. Also does she ever meet the fans after the show?

Hello – welcome to the forum!
To answer your first question – Yes. Buick 6 plays an opening set (usually 45 minutes long or so) before they return to the stage w/ Lu after a break.
And your second – Sometimes. It all depends on several factors, as you can probably imagine – how tired she is, whether the buses have to leave quickly after the show to get to the next town, even sometimes whether she has personal friends and / or family visiting with her after the show. I can speak from personal experience, however, that Lu (& her manager Tom Overby) are very accommodating and gracious to the fans. If circumstances permit, Lu will often greet fans & sign autographs.

April 10, 2009 at 4:27 pm #39192stogerParticipantOh baby, Tom. There’s life after the U of Mizzou college town after all. Hopefully, this Okie show won’t be at a zoo or feature an Eagle as headliner.
April 10, 2009 at 5:39 pm #39193parkercaParticipantAWESOME!!! SO glad there is an OKC show.
April 10, 2009 at 7:42 pm #39194parkercaParticipantJust bought my Columbia tickets. I called and got tickets over the phone from the Blue Note. Saved me about 7 bucks a ticket.

Thanks for the info. can’t wait to see her. we have wanted to for years but it has never worked out. It seems like every time we have moved. she has come to the area soon after. Thankfully we are going to be close to Tuscon that weekend. I wish we could go to the phoenix show but one will have to do for now.
April 11, 2009 at 6:37 pm #39196tntracyParticipantWe are on the floor at the Blue Note. Just ordered tickets.
We will be driving Atlanta to Louisville for the show on the 14th, then driving the next morning from Louisville to Columbia for this show. Then home to Atlanta, with “touristy” stops in St. Louis & perhaps Memphis. I thought we’d make a little vacation out of the trip…

Hellfire, Tom, I’d show you around Memphis–if I planned to be there at the time. “touristy” indeed. I too bought floor/GA for Columbia, so see you there. “Little vacation” indeed. I’ll be at the end of an extended one looks like, but fresh as a daisy in many ways, let’s hope. Can you tell if Brown Theatre has seats, is reserved? This one may bear keeping an eye on, to get optimum spots near stage.

Yeah, I know you would, stoger, but figured, based on your earlier comment, that you would be heading West from Columbia to OKC. ‘Tis OK – maybe next time!

I just called the Kentucky Center & spoke to Carly, a most pleasant young lady. Tickets go on sale at http://www.kentuckycenter.org at 10:00 AM (Eastern time – I checked to verify their time zone) on Friday, April 17th. And, they will indeed be reserved seats…

April 11, 2009 at 7:34 pm #39199tntracyParticipantOh, and here’s a photo of the Brown Theatre at the Kentucky Center in Louisville:

Looks fancy. It will be quite a transition from this “palace” to the Blue Note in Columbia the next evening, won’t it? 😆Tom
April 11, 2009 at 11:45 pm #39200parkercaParticipantUs Blue Note attendees should get together for a beer either before or after.
From what I know about the “Diamond Ballroom” it is in a pretty rough area.
