No, “backstreets,” I don’t travel with seat cushions–though I could have used a couple of those hymnals last night to better my angle up over the stage. I was a bit late first night, but got there at 7:05 second night to hear a man who split the difference between Reverend and Bouncer stand up on a chair in the vestibule and say “Doors will open at 7:15. Feel free to go in, put your coat on a pew, and come back for your drinks–and buy more drinks.” Almost enough to make me suggest such a policy to the folks at Ryman auditorium. . .
