I heard a beautiful song by Lucinda on the radio yesterday. I missed the begining, but it was from a tribute album for someone whose name sounded Latin or Spanish.

Not much to go on, but anyone know what this might be?

    Thanks in advance.

You may’ve heard the song she covered on “Por Vida”, a tribute album for Alejandro Escovedo, in order to help pay his medical bills after he was diagnosed w/Hepatitis C.

After hearing a couple of things by Escovedo, I’d like to pick up one of his albums.

    Any recomendations?

Also, this tribute album, in which Lu sings “Pyramid of Tears” seems to be out of print?

Anyone know where I can find this?

Thanks again to all who answer.

I think you can download “Pyramid of Tears” from itunes. That is where I got mine.

As for Alejandro’s own records, I can recommend The Boxing Mirror:

Produced by John Cale, one of my top faves in the musical universe.
