I’m about 3-4 hrs. away from several upcoming shows, and would love to be at the best venue to see her show…partly b/c my 51st birthday is around then…just saw her in ATL, but treating myself to another one. The cities are Charleston, Knoxville, Asheville, Charlotte, Nashville, so I have too many choices[for a Libra, anyway! 😉 ]. Saw her in Nashville at the Ryman in 2004 w/Prez [yes, Prez] Gore in attendance….loved it, of course. Good sound is the primo determiner, followed by atmosphere, lights, size etc. Any help with narrowing down my choices would be appreciated.

But, I am mobility-impaired: I’ve had to use a cane since an MVA; I sometimes use a wheelchair depending on ease of access. Must admit, I got great positioning at Atlanta Botanical with the wheelchair, but most places I can get to with a cane. Obviously, I don’t stand well for long periods. Does that mean I should scratch the Nashville show off my list? ❓
[Know I should’ve remembered to mentioned this issue in my first post. I prefer to think of myself as invincible. 🙄 Yet, I am getting older, a wee more forgetful! 😉 ]August 22, 2008 at 5:40 pm #36666Inside JobParticipantThat might make Nashville more difficult -but PM me when you decide and if we can– because sometimes it depends on the venue – we will make sure you are taken care of. Just give me at least 24 hrs notice.

August 27, 2008 at 11:10 am #36668n-uniParticipantI could use some help too, flying in from Australia to NYC mid Sept and out on Oct 2 so I miss Lucinda in NYC… what is the best place to go from there to see her around 9/26 onwards? Waited 18 years for this…any advice?

Given that your time frame is so limited it looks like you will need to see a show in the Carolinas. I would suggest seeing her in Raleigh, NC. Those tickets go on sale Friday Aug. 29 so you still have a chance to get a good seat. It’s a pretty long cab ride from the RDU airport to the venue, maybe you could rent a car from the airport…….and it seems way too far to drive from NYC
