A little bird told me this was a big rockin’ show. Any confirmation? Could “Protection” NOT have been done under such a designation?!?

Better late than never -here is the setlist. Given that this was the last show of a long leg and it was an outdoor festival in front of a lively audience it was decided to do the rock set. And it definitely was. Once it got going, this was probably one of the most all out rocking sets Lu has ever done -I remember Bonaroo a couple years ago being pretty similar but this one may have surpassed that. Early in the set Lu mentioned “ok now we’re going to kick out the jams” (a reference to an MC5 song for anyone wondering) and she wasn’t kidding. The version of Honey Bee was by far the fastest punk rock version ever -it was off the hook. Afterwards she was laughing saying that she knew that she had started it too fast but the adrenalin was there so she decided to just play it that fast and the band just followed. After that finishing up with Rockin’ In The Free World was perfect and the crowd went crazy. I did shoot some video of some of it from immediate stage right -just haven’t had a time to look at it and upload and edit it. All in all a great finish to the summer.
