For you, vmorris.
No need to dig, TO.
The set list (with color commentary). Grats to stoger for finding . I’m copying and pasting for him, a FF throwback task.

November 7, 2013 at 9:44 pm #52399TOverbyParticipantI found something also -even though it was missing from the setlist section elsewhere on this site. Ah yes brings back fond memories when most of the setlists would end up looking like this:

[attachment=0:2fpihxmd]CBsetlist.jpeg[/attachment:2fpihxmd]Ha ha: clearly the hand of a spouse/fiancรฉe/budding manager was needed even at this point in 2007 to solidify the lists from night to night, keeping the slash marks and cross-throughs at a minimum.
November 9, 2013 at 5:13 am #52402vmorrisParticipantTOverby, That set list totally made my day. I loved seeing how a brilliant show evolves beforehand (up until the last minute, apparently!). Thanks for this small glimpse into the pre-show perfection process. Now this essay has no excuse not to have great details in it… anything that sucks will clearly be the writer’s fault, not the forum’s! ๐
Stoger, I did respond to your email directly (so nice of you to reach out!), and wanted to let you know in case it got sucked into the spam ether.
I saw Lynyrd Skynyrd last night and was able to meet the band (here’s picture proof, me in black, my friend in blue). Just wanted to share that, like an idiot, I start talking to them about the Kenneth Brian Band from Decatur who also have a great Alabama anthem, “Welcome to Alabama.”
November 9, 2013 at 11:06 pm #52403vmorrisParticipantp.s. Just to clarify, I did not feel like an idiot for mentioning KBB, since they are clearly worthy of high regard from me, Skynyrd or anyone else. I just felt foolish for presuming to talk to LYNYRD SKYNYRD about an Alabama anthem… like it would be a new concept for them or something. So embarrassing. That said, however, I do think that “Welcome to Alabama” is a worthy successor to “Sweet Home Alabama.”

And perhaps one or both came into inspirational play at yesterday’s game with LSU?
