I did not get the chance to see the band live this time around….but from the shows I’ve heard, Stuart more than held his own. A big thank you to him, for maintaining the integrity of the songs, while still adding his own touch. Great work. Thanks to Tom and Lu, for securing yet another fabulous player. Looking forward to the new “album”.
He was absolutely great. I was really looking forward to the show as it was, and Stuart Mathis was an absolute revelation. He played within the songs, but tore it up effortlessly when the song allowed for it. No knock on any of the other players, but I would absolutely seek out any performance that includes him. Seriously, I’d put the 3rd and Lindsley performance right up there with Mick Taylor and Jeff Beck.
