We were very unsure how this night would go. 30 miles from Madison. Very very old theater that seemed to creak with every step back stage. It felt like the oldest theatre we had played in recent memory-especially with City Hall on the first floor. It seemed like we were on the set of It’s A Wonderful Life. It made it a little difficult to figure out how the crowd would be but it turned out to be a very warm and receptive audience. Lu started out the night by telling a story about about sitting on the bus that afternoon and watching a policeman give a ticket to woman who had apparently locked her keys in her car. After ticketing her he then helped her get the door open. Lu then introduced World Without Tears by saying “maybe I should change the title to World Without Tickets”.
