This is the third time we’ve played the Stone Mountain Arts Center and it’s always great there. It’s not one we play that accountant likes but we love to slip it into a tour when we can because they are amazing people who own and run it and they treat everyone fantastic and feed everyone even better. It’s also a great to spot to hang before the show because downstairs they have a turntable and great vinyl selection -and they have a pool table -it’s truly a one of a kind experience. It’s such a tiny room that we are always afraid that we are going to be way too loud—Lucinda always asks “are you sure it’s not too loud/“–and we do pretty much everything we can to keep it sane. (For instance the bass guitar was not even plugged into the PA). You would never guess it the first time you walk in there -but the people really want to rock I mean really go for it. It’s been that way every time we’ve played it. It’s great.
Well, ok there was one guy that thought it was too loud—sorry buddy -judging by the rest of the reaction of packed house I think you were outvoted.
