So baiscally, it looked like the second one, but more “sparkly” & no red lips. Got it… 😉

Never thought I’d be Google searching for designer purses… 😳

Oh, Candy Apple Red was my favorite, for cars! The more metallic in the paint, the better. 😀

We’re on it. I keep checking the links and have even been trying to just do a general google search using different key words (to hopefully cover all the cities in TX) along with craigslist to see if I can pull up anything, but not much has been coming up trying to use that method.

A photo gallery of the scene of the dastardly crime Blackheart Bar.
There is a large patio area both at the front and the back of this old house.
Hope there were security cameras outside to help nab the culprit.

If it’s the one she wore onstage, it’s black leather.

According to Lu’s FB page, the purse is back. Money and jacket still gone. I’m sure the news will hit here soon enough.

Yes -the purse was returned to the Blackheart yesterday morning -in a way that we know it was probably what (who) we suspected- or at the very least someone who could’ve only known certain info that was put on FB. The jacket is still missing and the only thing taken from the purse was the cash. Damn -if I’d only written down those serial numbers.
Thanks to all of you who did all the digging and searching. It all helped and is very appreciated.

Good news, indeed, The cash & coat are easily replaced. The credit cards, drivers license & other items in the purse, not so much.

I’d say the coat is probably a lost cause. It is doubtful that anyone will advertise a black leather jacket as having “once belonged to Lucinda Williams”. And black leather jackets are probably fairly common on CraigsList, etc…

Glad to hear of the recovery, Tom. I will never darken the door of the Blackheart again in my Austin visits, though the IHOP proximate to it has mighty fine wee-hour breakfast fare.
