    From Tom:
It’s great when we can mix in some of these smaller stripped down shows. We’re able to play some songs that are really good in this kind of setting. An example of that is I Envy The Wind, which is one of her favorite songs to sing and it was definitely one of the highlights as was Memphis Pearl which is really taking on a new thing. A show like this can take another vibe and last night it became about the singing and she was really happy with how her voice sounded.
    Wonderful audience.
    Great hospitality.
    Raised money for the museum.
Those are the ingredients of a great night.

I so love these reports. I wish I could follow the tour bus from town to town, every show unique.

Here is “Envy The Wind’ with Amos Lee from the WFUV benefit show in NYC last late November. Viv and I attended this show. Amazing.

And, an after thought, after reading the notes from the Atlanta set list.

The intimate setting description of this St. Louis show at the museum reminded me of the Stuart Opera House show in Nelsonville, OH I attended 6 years ago with Lu solo acoustic. Lu has played there since then as full band, several times.

Here is my recording of “Memphis Pearl’ from that show.

Lafayette, You are the curator of all things Lu! Thanks for these gems, Viv
