1 Can’t Let Go
2 People Talkin’
3 Pineola
4 Drunken Angel
5 Price to Pay (“This is the first time we’ve done this one in awhile”)
6 Jackson
7 Stowaway in Your Heart [yes, folks, a new one, written “during the Blessed era”–short yet sweet, a kind of tribute to love/Tom without naming it/him: the stowaway takes the blues away, among other things from the lyrics. Slow song. Lu opines that this will be on the next album, “I imagine”]
8 Where is My Love
9 Copenhagen [prefaced by kudos for the animator of the video for this song, who apparently has done the “Squidbillies” (?)–Lu describes his work as ” ___________ on acid” can’t remember exactly]
10 Born to Be Loved
11Trying to Get to Heaven (Before They Close the Doors)–from a forthcoming Dylan tribute for Amnesty International, to be released in November
12 Convince Me
13 Steal your Love
14 Buttercup
15 REal Live Bleeding… [preceded by “We just got word; The Cardinals won”–not quite as dramatic as Lucinda’s on-stage Arkansas announcement of Osama Bin Laden’s assassination, but it got some reaction]
16 Essence
17 Changed the Locks
18 Joy [with an extended political diatribe prior and dedicated to the “anti-Wall St. movement”, my own state of TN denounced, but most notably featuring Herman Cain described not as a pizza tycoon or a 999 plan man, but rather as “that joker”]
19 Honeybee

October 13, 2011 at 8:55 pm #48441t_finParticipantHi all. I write for Riverfront Times, the weekly in St. Louis and we just posted my review of last night’s Pageant show.
Link humbly submitted:

Feel free to chime in via the comments thread if you’re in a commenting state of mind. And as noted in the review, photos from the show would be welcomed, assuming you shot ’em yourself.

October 14, 2011 at 2:43 pm #48443mshedgParticipantNice report, as always Stoger. It was good seeing you again. I hope you made it safely to your next destination and I look forward to reading your future reports from wherever the road takes you.
It was a real nice turnout and a very enthusiastic audience at The Pageant on Wednesday night. Lu sounded great and was in fine form. I am so impressed by the way Butch, David & Blake keep taking their interpretations of the songbook to the next level. I particularly enjoyed Blake’s playing on the new song, “Stowaway”; he sounded alot like Ry Cooder.Kudos to OTR as well.

Thanks, Mark, and I meant to add how gracious Karin was toward Lu, dedicating the final song of the final opener slot gig, “All My Favorite People,” to Lucinda. Ry Cooder is right, now that I’ve heard “Stowaway in Your Heart” a second time.
