TO,
I know it’s only January, but can you throw us a bone? Is there going to be a Spring Tour? If so, will the northeast be included? Great tour last year. Looking forward to 2010, and some new songs.January 13, 2010 at 1:35 am #41965TOverbyParticipantOriginally we were going to do about 3 weeks of the Anniversary shows on the west coast, but Lucinda really wanted to move on working on songs for the next record and given the tour schedule that she’s had the last 3 yrs it was hard to argue with her. At this time we have no shows scheduled and given the lead times it takes to book shows I would say that the earliest that we would even be looking at potential shows would be Jul/Aug, but at this point that I wouldn’t bet on that happening.
I can say however that, as it has been with her more often than not, the songs come in bunches and it looks like she is in that place right now as she has finished 3 songs in the last two days. While they are new born babies so to speak -in the form of raw acoustic version- I can tell you that she is a proud mother and I am very excited as well with the early promise of these babies.

This.
Honestly, makes me happier than any touring news.
Thanks for the update.January 13, 2010 at 3:25 am #41967fuji81ParticipantTO,
I appreciate your fast response. Be sure to thank Lu and the boys, for the gift that was last years tour. I for one, hope to see the same line-up next time around. Enjoy the break from the road, and may 2010 bring many strong, and healthy newborns into this sweet old world.January 13, 2010 at 7:51 pm #41968tntracyParticipantYeah, I have to say that, as disappointing as it is to hear that Lu won’t be back on the road until mid-Summer at the earliest (granted, a selfish response – Lu, you do so deserve the break!), the news of new “babies” is wonderful! I can’t wait to hear the end results.
I am also looking forward to the release of Lu’s duet with Jimmy Webb on “Galveston.” Anyone heard any release info (i.e., date) for this?

I used to go to your shows at little places in L.A. so long ago. I also saw you at the Celeberity in Phx. You have a fan base here in Seattle, please don’t pass us by!
xoxo
ElaineFebruary 7, 2010 at 11:00 pm #41972TOverbyParticipantLucinda won’t be skipping Seattle –the last time she was there was in Nov 08 and it was right after the economy had crashed and everything came to a grinding halt. Regardless, both nights at the Showbox were completely sold out and the audiences were great. Ironically, because we chose to do 2 nights in Seattle it was Portland who got skipped on the Little Honey tour. That was a difficult decision because it has always been a great city for Lucinda.
