We were talking last night about how Lu at the Belly Up has just kind of become a special thing. She always looks forward to playing there – she loves the crowds, she loves the sound of the room-and the sound on stage, the food is great, the people at the club are first rate. Those are generally the ingredients to a great show and afterwards Lu was feeling really good about it. Lots of highlights -Burning Bridges has really come on, Fruits Of My Labor was sounding so good Lu got lost in it—as she said “I was kind of just floating away”, Out Of Touch had some fire as did Unsuffer Me. And I think we had the all time best timing for a shouted song request -someone yelled Honey Be about 5 seconds before Lu hit the opening chord. It was the live debuts of Rebel, Rebel and Life During Wartime and it seemed like the reception was pretty solid -she loves trying out some new things and appreciates everyone’s patience. All in all a very fun night. Bring on the second night.
