I like the second one I got. Kind of a redneck-looking guy standing next to an old pickup truck. Reminds me very much of myself… 😉

And, on a more technical note, I really like the composition of the photo. The high, white brick wall, the chain link fence, the green slope, the red of the truck. I love it…

I agree -we had another version of that one that was closer up and one with sign under his arm -both cool but we loved the flat tire one the best

Well, it is a great photograph IMHO. Kudos to the photographer & anyone else involved with composing the shot…

cool idea…reminds me of what Zeppelin did with their last album (remember that word!) before their untimely ending…..In Through the Out Door..

just adds something extra to what is already highly anticipated.

My copy was in the mail today! I ordered the Deluxe Edition from Amazon and received the one with the woman holding the dog. Absolutely love the packaging and marketing of this record, right down to the CD itself with all the handwritten “Blessed” messages.

I just discovered that if you go to https://www.lucindawilliams.com, on the Blessed promo page you get initially (where you click on the “Enter LucindaWilliams.com” link to get to the familiar main page), if you click on the little horizontally cascading set of deluxe edition album covers, you will be able to download a file called “albums.zip”. This archive file contains 8 jpeg image files, one for each deluxe edition cover. They are each sized 342 x 342 pixels, ideal for using in iTunes or what have you for album art…

Here is a direct link to download the zip file.

I got the kissing couple. I had a choice between this one and the pickup truck guy at the FYE.

Love how each cover subject wrote the word “blessed”.

Okay, so whatever you do, you must not actually pick them up and touch them with your hands – not in a store, not at the Asheville show, nowhere. Once you do, it’s all over. 😀

Ok, being an accountant I notice detail.
Every one of my Lucinda Williams CD’s and I have them all contain on the front / and or the back Lucinda Williams full name in print.

    Not so on “Blessed”
Her full name only appears on the spine (edge) of the case.

Any comments from the FF ?

Love the record and just received the freebie downloads.
