Another excellent choice! Can’t wait to hear what the set ends up being. 😀

For the record, no pun intended, Bone Of Contention is a Lucinda song.
Thanks for the enlightenment, can’t believe I didn’t know that. I had downloaded “Lu in 08” and thus wasn’t able to study the packaging, but assumed that Lu had found yet another cool song from some obscure talent. It all makes sense now. Thx! 🙂
Yes, a few of us were lucky to have heard it live just before Little Honey was wrapped. I believe Tom would affirm that it almost made the record, might even have added to the “upbeat” quotient among the final half if it had. Still, when Mama makes a decision, Mama’s decision sticks. . . .

“Ghost of Tom Joad” by Springsteen (Blake can handle the part played by Tom Morello when he guested on this w/Bruce in 2009).

The former might make it, grumpy, since Lu recorded it with its writer, P F Sloan, for his “comeback” record a few years back. I was fortunate to hear Sloan play it live that same year–with sideman Duane Jarvis.

Being a huge Springsteen fan, was thrilled to see that Lucinda played Factory the other night and hope to hear that this weekend. I know it’s late for learning new songs, but another Boss song that would really work well for OWS (in addition to Ghost of Tom Joad that was mentioned in an earlier post) is Seeds.
Looking forward to the shows!

November 19, 2011 at 2:38 am #48719TOverbyParticipantSorry to be the bearer of bad news but while the shows will be recorded, as are all the shows–there are no plans to release them as another Fillmore live album, and let’s just say that there are contractual reasons why it would be extremely unlikely that it would ever happen.
November 19, 2011 at 4:34 am #48720fuji81ParticipantTO….. This is a blessed tour, with some stellar shows, is there a chance anything will see the light of day?
If not an official release, perhaps make downloads available. Just a thought. Thanks, for truckin’ up to Buffalo on this back leg of the tour.November 19, 2011 at 11:37 pm #48721TOverbyParticipantI would say at this point it is extremely unlikely. Basically what is happening is that Lucinda’s current recording contract with Lost Highway expires 11/21 so everything recorded before that date is owned by LH. We are certainly not ruling out re-upping with LH but there will be many options and a lot of things to take under consideration. If we did re-up with LH then the chances would increase a little that something might appear.
November 20, 2011 at 1:37 am #48722fuji81ParticipantThanks for the reply Tom. Have a great end of the tour, and may we please see the same awesome lineup next time around…if possible:)
November 20, 2011 at 5:02 am #48723punchdrunkloveParticipanti have a friend – he lives in san francisco – coming to the 2nd fillmore show. he is excited. i’m glad he’ll listen to JACKSON – his favorite LW song – and that’s guaranteed because CW will be fully performed.
