ParticipantYou’re welcome, Parker. I thought I read something about the site being updated and redesigned a while back. Hasn’t happened yet.

ParticipantTicketmaster is showing an American Express presale Aug. 27-Sept. 4, a week before the public sale on Sept. 5. Usually, an AMEX presale means you must enter a confidential AMEX phone number as a password, AND pay for the ticket with an AMEX card. By the time the AMEX buyers and the 3rd-party retailers get finished with this presale, I would anticipate rather distant seats for the public on Sept. 5. Of course, the promoter might retain some decent seats for Sept. 5, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

10/3 – NY
WAMU Theatre at MSGIt kills me that Lu is playing NYC on Oct. 3rd.
I hav e tickets to a rescheuled perfomance of Jerry Lee Lewis at BB KING’S on that date. Hopefully, since there is an opening act for Lu, maybe she won’t be on until 9:30, and I might miss the first 15 minutes of Lu’s set. JLL’s sets are usually over by 9:30. Can someone ask Lu to wait for me? 🙂– Scott

ParticipantI’m so disgusted, absolutely disgusted, by these Amex presales.
I’m also disgusted by how long it took for this show to show up on Ticketmaster. Only today, a single day before the onsale. I planned a whole day around tomorrow, so I won’t be able to be home tomorrow for the presale, even if I did have an Amex card, which I don’t.
And it sucks because I was going to take my mother to see this show and has just gone nuts for Lucinda and this would be a perfect venue, location-wise, for us to see her in.
Maybe there will be a miracle and some non Amex cardholders can actually get decent tickets on September 5.

ParticipantI also just checked prices on thegarden.com, about 2 x the price of other venues on this tour for the October 3 show. I’m getting pretty tired of everybody charging twice what they would on a regular tour during NYC stops.
I’m sorry for my negativity, but it’s pretty understandable. Even if we do get to see this show, we’ll pay twice as much to likely be far away. Nothing good about that, especially when you’ve done all the anticipating and checking Ticketmaster and this forum every day.

Participantgot 2 for the theater at msg in section 101 for a mere
$195.13 presale p/w is 8003272177, purchase has to
be made with an amex card.August 29, 2008 at 7:48 pm #36616Lafayette
ParticipantI just checked the show list on the site and noticed no support act is listed for all shows starting Sept 29. Is this an oversight or is a different support act TBA?
ALSO, the BuY link is up but tix aren’t available for a few shows, one being Columbus, OH. Did I miss a presale or are they just not available or are presale sold out?

ParticipantOversight. Buick 6 will open all the shows this fall.
Some pre-sales were not until today and I think there are still a couple going onsale next week.September 5, 2008 at 2:12 pm #36618Lefty
ParticipantTicketMonster tells me that Rochester, NY tickets for Oct 12 go on sale tomorrow at noon (Sep 6).

ParticipantJust as I worried – the tix for NY’s show were instantly sold out the moment they went “on sale.” What a world we live in that that is actually considered normal. Looks like I won’t be seeing Lu this fall.
Did anybody actually pull up anything this morning for NYC?

ParticipantI tried as well this morning to get tickets to the NY show, but it appears to be sold out….fortunately, I have good seats for the New Haven show on Oct. 4.

ParticipantCome on, Lucinda…
What are the chances of fitting in a show at the Rialto in Tucson? Your past shows there have rocked & it’s a great venue. We miss you here in the great Southwest!
