Yes I know –I was looking at it last week. It is a standup venue that I’m told sounds great and is beautiful inside. Given that its a Fri. night in Nashville, and people won’t be sitting down it should be rockin’ show.
Very Cool, My wife and I are thinking about making that show. It’s a ways from Oklahoma but it will be worth it.
Given that Lost Highway is based there and the record will have come out that week, and Lu has a lot of friends there– I think it has a chance to be a great night. Certaainly not trying to talk you into anything -just sort of sizing it up. Sometimes during a leg, certain shows can jump out of the itinerary and look like they could be a good one. Nothing that can really be predicted but sometimes it holds true.
It will probably be a go for us then. I think the best show I’ve seen so far is when she played Cain’s in Tulsa last year. That was a perfect show.
For the gig in Chicago…is it the Riviera Theatre in Uptown? I live in Chicago, and this is the only Riviera I know of, but for some reason when I search for it, there is also one on N. Racine….a little clarification would be much appreciated…
The Riviera’s a nice venue. I’m not thrilled about a GA show (both because of the excellent luck I’ve had getting great seats for Lucinda shows, and because due to work obligations I won’t be able to line up early), but it’s a small place and if I can’t get right in front of the stage, so be it. 🙂
They will probably be some of the first shows of ’09. The very loose plan for ’09 is to start in the SW and straight across thru Texas and anywhere else we missed in that are this year. But that’s just a drawing board plan right now and that would probably start mid to late Jan. at the earliest.
Ok, cool. Wanted to make sure before I buy KC/Nashville tickets that there wasn’t going to be a show in Oklahoma or Texas within a few days or weeks.
