ParticipantGreat report Stu, both about Minneapolis and Milwaukee. I too was struck early in your Milwaukee setlist by the repetition from wedding night, but clearly she mixed it up from there. All these details are much appreciated. I will be in Chicago for nights two and three, so we’ll share one of those in common, it would seem. I believe Lafayette is two and three also, so you’ll have a surrogate ma figure for those Lu in mid career tunes. Though she looks more like your older sister in that photo which has generated so many outings of ourselves in the other Forum stream. . . Who’s making Bloomington? If I don’t miss my guess, none other than the youthful Lafayette Herself.

ParticipantOne heck of a show last night , even better than Green Bay a couple of months ago.
Buick 6 rocked the house too .
See ya next time around L .September 23, 2009 at 11:10 pm #40700rockininmilwaukee
ParticipantOne more thing , was someone walking her dogs before the show ?

ParticipantVery detailed and informative report, Disco Stu. I’m feeling the pressure now. Bloomington’s setlist slightly disappointing (but not the performance!) compared to Milwaukee’s. I’m off to start a thread.
Consider the Lu photo a wedding gift of sorts. I’m so happy you have a Lu memory you will cherish for years to come. Oh, and a little bragging with your former college professor is an added bonus.
Caroline, welcome again with your posts! See, you just say **** it and post 🙂 in the friendly forum. No pressure.

Let me know what you think .September 29, 2009 at 6:37 pm #40706catlee100
ParticipantBuick 6 was overbearing and almost competing with Lucinda. I came to hear her voice and listen to her do what she does best. Somebody is urging her to become some kind of old rocker. She’s way better than that. 😕

ParticipantThis post comes a little late, but I think this was one of the best Lu shows we’ve seen so far. I think Buick 6 was great, I didn’t think they were overbearing at all. Each time we’ve seen her Buick 6 has complimented her music nicely – not competitive at all. She never fails to put on a great show, and we love seeing her anytime she comes around.
