“You can sleep when you _ _ _.”
Fill in the blank . Bad mojo or something. Advice given to me many times from a JM partner in crime. Not that I always followed said advice.
One good thing, we can listen, via the world wide web. Perhaps lwj will start a ‘3rd and Lindsley’ show tree. 😀
Perhaps said “show tree” will have the capability of interviewing front-row spectators live?

“Show Tree” I’m not as social media savvy as Lafayette, so I’ll give it a go.
A. Should I go outside and hug a tree ? 😆
B. Consider Tree and Thread as synonyms- a la Wiki’s definition here.
A thread (sometimes called a topic) is a collection of posts, usually displayed from oldest to latest, although this is typically configurable: Options for newest to oldest and for a threaded view (a tree-like view applying logical reply structure before chronological order) can be available. A thread is defined by a title, an additional description that may summarize the intended discussion, and an opening or original post (common abbreviation OP, which can also mean original poster), which opens whatever dialogue or makes whatever announcement the poster wished. A thread can contain any number of posts, including multiple posts from the same members, even if they are one after the other.C. Start a new thread for 3rd & Lindsley as I did for the Euro tour. This would be gig # 14 of 14 for the upcoming mini tour and gig # 1 would be tonyg’s and paul_from_losangeles parking lot attendance tonight in LA.
D. Send an email to Lightning 100’s radio station manager to be on the look out for a University looking perfessor in the front row of the club for securing an interview ?
E. None of the above and just enjoy the live broadcast from Nashville ?

August 31, 2013 at 3:58 am #52084LafayetteParticipantI received following info from the AMA in my inbox re: the 3rd and Lindsley show on Sept 22.
LUCINDA WILLIAMS PERFORMANCE TO CLOSE AMERICANAFEST 2013
Lucinda Williams will perform an intimate showcase of her self-titled album, celebrating the 25th anniversary of its release, to close the 2013 Americana Music Festival & Conference on Sunday, September 22 at Nashville’s 3rd & Lindsley.
Americana Music Festival & Conference registrants will receive invitations by September 3rd for the special 3rd & Lindsley performance, with a limited number of tickets on sale to the public. This is not a wristband showcase.
Click HERE to purchase your conference registrations.
More details to follow at americanamusic.org or visit www.3rdandlindsley.com
August 31, 2013 at 5:14 am #52085paul_from_losangelesParticipantTo augment Lafayette’s posting, tickets for the September 22 show are already on-sale to the public via the 3rd & Lindsley website link to TicketWeb. These tickets seem to be independent of any AMA affiliation or conference.
September 1, 2013 at 1:57 am #52086TOverbyParticipantYes -Paul is correct -about half of the tickets are set aside for the general public.
September 1, 2013 at 2:44 am #52087musicloverParticipantGot mine thru Ticketweb last night. Looking forward to the show. Hope to see some of you all at 3rd & lindsley.
September 15, 2013 at 3:09 am #52088vmorrisParticipantFor my birthday I’ll be seeing Lu 2x in Nola (favorite city, favorite artist, in a favorite venue!) and also in my own backyard afterwards in Saxapahaw 2x. This fan’s loving suggestion to Lu and her band and crew: Eat at The General Store in Saxapahaw (or get food from there), espcially the BBQ chopped pork sandwhich! It’s basically a gas station and local store, but with amazing food in the middle of nowhere (http://www.saxgenstore.com) (http://travel.nytimes.com/2012/01/22/travel/saxapahaw-nc-middle-of-somewhere-becomes-a-draw.html?_r=0). Patty Griffin over the summer kept calling the town “Sexy Paw” and in the middle of her show asked “Where am I????”, but it’s a great, funky little river town with lots of Southern charm and a great music scene (remote connection: Jim Lauderdale went to Carolina Friends School in Durham, NC and the owners of the Haw River Ballroom are current Carolina Friends School parents… the school cultivates a love of music!). Enjoy your stay! I should buy a lotto ticket or something given that I’m seeing Lu 4x in one week! Blessed, indeed 🙂 VMo
