You heard it here first -actually a few days ago -but I will confirm it here first with press release in the next couple of days. As part of the 9/16 show at Tipitina’s in N.O. Lucinda will be inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame.
That is going to be a fun night.

In other news it looks like we will be adding a 2nd show in Saxapahaw NC as the first one sold out in the blink of an eye. It also looks like the 9/22 show is looking very positive but I will know more tomorrow.

A Sunday night somewhere, post-Philly, post-Bristol: details please sir!

    Thank You!
I felt like such a slacker for not jumping on the Saxapahaw presale the minute I saw it.
    Won’t let that happen again.

Another feather in her cap for Lu’s induction in the LMHOF at Tipitina’s.
I’m sure it’s a given that the set list will contain all things Louisianian such as at least one of the following:
Louisiana Man, Crescent City, Lake Charles, Bus to Baton Rouge and Lafayette.

so Tom does this mean Lu will play at least four nights in a row (Saxaphaw through Philly), and possibly five with this “surprise” on the 22nd?

Yup! I scooped up two tickets from the Haw River Ballroom Facebook page the minute it went up. Now I just have to figure out a way to get my hands on a couple tickets for the first show…. Only thing better than seeing one Lucinda show is seeing Two Lucinda shows back to back!

I can now confirm the final show of Sept. will be Sun. 9/22, the closing night of the Americana Music Awards fest in Nashville at the music club 3rd & Lindsley–she will be playing the Rough Trade record beginning to end to start the show.
Also, the show will be broadcast live but am still getting the rest of those details.

Then it’s time to get home and get some recording done.

Great way to wrap up [tour] and head home [to record]. 8)

My dollar bets the Perfessor will be the roving road warrior reporter for this show.

But what if I have an 8 a.m. class the next morn?

Sunday nights are usually live radio broadcasts at 3rd & L, but this is special. Richard Thompson and Rosanne Cash, among others, will have played there 72 hours before, 45-minute Americana conference showcase sets.

    Looking good stoger Muchas gracias.
Nashville’s Independent Radio “Lightning 100” WRLT FM has the event listed for 9/22 from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. CDT
I just tried the listen live button and it works all the way up to Canada. I was listening to one of Lafayette’s favs.-Mr. Amos Lee.
Very much looking forward to the live broadcast. Now, if co-moderator tntracy could log in and tell me if it’s possible to record the show on my computer. I only have the Koch S/T reissue and can’t wait to get my mitts on the real thing.

LWj, install software called Audacity on your computer. It’s free. It can record what is playing over your sound card. Try it out. 😀

“You can sleep when you _ _ _.”

Fill in the blank . Bad mojo or something. Advice given to me many times from a JM partner in crime. Not that I always followed said advice.

One good thing, we can listen, via the world wide web. Perhaps lwj will start a ‘3rd and Lindsley’ show tree. 😀
