20 Cross to bear (dedicated to the songwriter, “y’all’s neighbor”–after, she says “I think we did that song justice, don’t y’all?”]
21 Righteously
22 Get Right with God [three minutes into the song, Lu waves the boys down and gives the longest Flannery O’Connor speech I’ve ever heard, noting her birth town was Savannah, her 90th birthday would have been a few days ago, that Lu herself visited Flannery with her father when she was four and played with the peacocks at Andalusia, et. al. Finally, she says “I wanted y’all to know that” and finishes the song, to great acclaim]Well, it wasn’t exactly Ramshead Baltimore, but it was a memorable tour finale just the same. Can we just skip the months of April and May and move along to Red Rocks? Hope to see some of you come summer. . .

March 31, 2015 at 12:27 am #54219tonygKeymasterFrom Tom:First show in Savannah in years—Lu couldn’t remember the last time there -some time in the mid 90’s -don’t know why it took so long. Perfect way to end the tour -with a wonderful sold out house. Great versions of Bus To Baton Rouge, Cross To Bear (dedicated to Greg Allman, who we were told lives there) and especially Get Right w/God with a long spontaneous mid-song dedication to Flannery O’Connor who was born there. Someone described Savannah as a cleaner New Orleans -love these old southern cities -wish we could’ve spent more time there. Next time.

Last tour day sheet we’ll see for a few weeks – what the hell do we do now?
