    From Tom:
Here we go with 2017. Pretty great first night overall -a couple of little stumbles—Lu accidentally skipped Ghost Of Hwy 20 but made up for it later by adding Burning Bridges, which sounded great. We spent a good part of this past week rehearsing some new cover songs. As a result last night was the first she had played What’s So Funny ‘Bout Peace Love and Understanding. Lu wanted to slow it down a bit from Elvis’s version because she wants everyone to hear the words—which are very timely. It was also only the second time she has ever played Jesus Just left Chicago -and Stuart completely shredded some wicked blues. Next up the Belly Up

Fine stuff. I need to be reminded who wrote “Jesus Just Left Chicago”–drawing a blank. Good to see “Bitter Memory” in the proceedings. And if Tom/tony (these two gents are melding into one profile for me) has time to post Belly Up I today, we’ll be caught up for tonight. I would bet ALT is tearing it up by way of opener, even maybe without a band?

Note to stoger: I attended the Santa Ana show, and I can confirm that ALT has a band, a very loud band. Also, both Belly Up shows are being streamed live on Facebook. You can see Monday’s show in about 4 hours (9 PM PST) from this post.

Facebook or live? That’s a tough call for me, Paul. I’ll think about it in the next few hours.

So if you cyberwatched last night, Paul, can you give us some highlights?

Not every opener can be a mellow Sera Cahoone w/band or solo acoustic like several from the past. But you are consistent in your comments about Lu-openers and their sonic level, Paul.
