Thanks for the suggestion. I will try that one out. It’s fun finding different and new music. I don’t really listen to the radio here. I usually listen to my ipod and just stumble upon something I like on itunes. But that’s very rare. I’m really excited to find Lucinda! Truth is, I haven’t really bought too much new music in a while. Do you have any other artists you could recommend?

Thanks for the great list! I know Bob Dylan of course, he’s from the iron range. I used to have his lyrics book, but gave it away in a fit of stupidity. My husband told me not to, but I didn’t listen. I only know the song “Copperhead Road” from Steve Earle. I stood by him once while they were setting up the stage for his show. I wish I would have started up a conversation, but I was too shy back then. He seemed like a regular kind of guy, accessible. I never got to see him play because I worked in the office. Trust me, it was brutal.

I will have to check out the other names on your list. I also recently bought the Robert Plant/Alison Krauss cd, but haven’t listened to the whole thing yet. I’m a little upset with her for stealing my man. Actually, think about it, a Williams/Plant rock and roll duet. Wouldn’t that be awesome?! Speaking of duets, who has Lucinda done duets with and which ones would you say really stand out?

I love all these recommendations! It is great. I went ahead and took ParkerCA’s advice and purchased “Heartbreaker”. Haven’t had a chance to download the songs, but what I’ve heard so far is really good. I also bought Allison Moorer “The Definitive Collection”. She is pretty amazing and has excellent songs. I don’t know where I stumbled onto her name, while browsing around this site or itunes, but she is definitely worth checking out if you’re interested. On some of her songs, her voice kind of reminds me of Anita Baker (I consider that a high compliment).

I’m trying to find other artists’ music to listen to. I don’t want to overplay Lucinda’s cds if you know what I mean. I would tend to do that since I love her songs so much. Anything you all could suggest I’d really appreciate!
