I’ve come to realize that there may not be many (or any) HUGE Rolling Stones fans, like myself, here in the friendly forum…
However.. I feel it my duty as one, in case it interests others, to announce (before the announcement) that the “boys” are going to launch a North American summer tour!!!

Word is that the tour will start in San Diego at the end of May,will run through July, winding it’s way to the east coast. It is expected to have a Sticky Fingers theme.. the official announcement will likely come on the anniversary of the iconic albums release in April…

I am definitely going to be on the road and catch as many shows as possible, but the one that is (strongly) rumored that I will do what I can to attend, will be at Red Rocks Amphitheatre! My hope is that the dates might align to where I could catch Lu there and the Stones on the same trip, much like I did in ’12 when Lu played Beacon Theater and the Stones played Brooklyn… If not there, perhaps another city (or two) might align…

    Can. Not. Wait.

Saw them last at the LA Coliseum in 1981. Tim and I went to see them at the Boston Garden back in 74 I think. Have fun.

Thanks, Tony.. I remember that tour.. J Geils opened for them here in Seattle… Another favorite of mine.

Going to see their long time back-up singer (and an Emmy winner this year for the fantastic documentary “Twenty feet from Stardom”) Lisa Fischer at Jazz Alley in Seattle, next Friday..

    PS
I hope you are currently in route to the first sow at McCabes as I type.. Great venue (where I first met you as I recall).

    J. Geils here too. Also an unknown Prince and George Thorogood.
